About Christy Nicholas
Christy Nicholas is the award-winning author of two travel guides and fourteen novels, including the popular Druid’s Brooch Series. Her novel, Time Tourist Outfitters, Ltd. was awarded first prize in the 2020 Writer’s Digest self-published novel awards, Science Fiction category.
She is an author, artist and accountant. After she failed to become an airline pilot, she quit her ceaseless pursuit of careers that begin with ‘A,’ and decided to concentrate on her writing. Since she has Project Completion Compulsion, she is one of the few authors with NO unfinished novels.
Christy has her hands in many crafts, including digital art, beaded jewelry, writing, and photography. In real life, she’s a CPA, but having grown up with art all around her (her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother are/were all artists), it sort of infected her, as it were.
She wants to expose the incredible beauty in this world, hidden beneath the everyday grime of familiarity and habit, and share it with others. She uses characters out of time and places infused with magic and myth.
Christy’s current projects include an urban fantasy trilogy set in modern Ireland and an instruction book on Extreme Planning for authors.
Christy loves beauty, and thinks the greatest gift is to share that beauty with others. When she sees a serene sunset or a sweet blossom, she wants to pass on the wonder and delight she feels, either in her photography, her fiction, or the creation of her jewelry. To allow other people a glimpse into her mind with her art is a wonderful feeling!
The Personal Side
Christy lives with her husband (Jason), dog (Snoopy), cats (Mallory and Lana), and sugar gliders (Sansa and Arya). Someday she’ll live in her spiritual homeland, Ireland, despite her husband’s vociferous protests. She travels there whenever she can afford it (and sometimes when she can’t!)
